The Parlour Institute
The Parlour Institute is a private permanent cosmetics training academy in Fort Smith, Arkansas, founded and led by Hannah Slack.
I offer a permanent cosmetic licensure program for students entering the industry and a permanent cosmetic instructor licensure program for experienced artists who are ready to teach.
Training is intentionally small, personalized, and built around each student’s schedule and progress. Programs focus on safety, sanitation, technique, anatomy, color theory, healing, client care, business education, and preparation for Arkansas licensure.
I take education and licensure seriously. My goal is not to rush students through a program, but to prepare responsible, knowledgeable artists and instructors who are ready to work safely, professionally, and with integrity.
Permanent cosmetic students receive hands-on training, required learning materials, and a permanent cosmetic kit. Instructor trainees receive a complete teaching system, including curriculum, lesson plans, tests, forms, contracts, training logs, and student paperwork.

Licensed Permanent Cosmetic Artist
A personalized permanent cosmetic licensure program combining theory, hands-on training, supervised procedures, safety, sanitation, color theory, healing, client care, and business education. Students train in a small-class setting and, upon successful completion of all program and Arkansas requirements, are prepared to earn their permanent cosmetic license.

Licensed Permanent Cosmetic Instructor
A personalized permanent cosmetic instructor licensure program for artists who have held an Arkansas permanent cosmetic license for at least five years. The program includes instructor theory, teaching and procedure observation, supervised practice teaching, and a complete set of curriculum, forms, tests, contracts, logs, and student materials.
